ABC Kortsch is not your traditional moving company. We provide white glove furniture services to the interior design and hospitality industry. We are not focused on household relocation.

We're seeking experienced furniture movers to fill the roles of Driver and Helper on our team. Positions require experienced hands, attention to detail, and a customer service attitude. Since we don't focus on traditional relocation, that means no appliances, no boxes to the basement, no pianos, no 3rd floor hoists, no filthy attics or crawlspaces, no surprise 13 hours days. In exchange, we require team members to adhere to the white glove standard we offer. That means a professional appearance is maintained with our company-supplied uniforms, shoe protection is worn, floors are protected, felt feet are installed on items, doors are adjusted, glass shelves are cleaned when installed, gloves are worn for delicate or light colored items, pillows are fluffed, etc. Cash tips are very common. The average day holds 2-5 stops, each with an opportunity to earn another cash tip. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering new pad-wrapped furniture to customers' homes in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, an excellent driving record, and the ability to follow directions and policies, think critically and have attention to detail. All applicants must be able to lift heavy items and provide exceptional customer service. Applicants hired must complete a 3-month probationary period in the warehouse and on the road. After successful completion of the probationary period, wage increase will be negotiated based on performance and abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to think critically.
• Valid drivers license.
• Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
• Follow the assigned routes and time schedules.
• Prep, load, unload, and install furniture in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow company policy regarding the handling of items.
• Complete paperwork in an accurate manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a professional apperance.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles and supplies.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with the vehicle.
• Constant advancement in moving abilities.
