Our students include a variety of diverse individuals with the potential for development through verbal and visual communication. You would be responsible for assisting educators throughout the day with student and classroom needs.

Work Hours- 7:30am-3:30pm
School Hours: 9am-3pm

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in maintaining a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

• Provide instructional support under the supervision of the special education coordinator/classroom teacher.

• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.

• Take necessary and reasonable precautions to assure safety in the classroom and the school for all students.

• Work collaboratively with the Teachers and Lead Aid.

• Assist in planning and preparing materials for activities.

• Assist with all instructional and non-instructional tasks as assigned by the teacher.

• Participate in all professional development opportunities such as workshop programs and attending required meetings.

• Serve as a role model for students and staff by demonstrating a positive attitude, and effective work ethic.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION

• High School Diploma / GED

• Must be 18

• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one

• Valid AZ Driver’s License

• AZ Driver's license or ID

• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred
