This role contributes to improving health, safety and environment (HSE) performance, helping the organization to deliver a high performing culture through clear accountability and a skilled organization in Electrification, Distribution Solution based in Selmer, Tennessee.You will be managing the tactical day to day administrative tasks within the HSE team. This role serves as a liaison to leaders on the proper administration of company policies, procedures and programs related to employee safety and business safety practices.

Business Health, Safety & Environment Manager

• Facilitates HSE Risk Assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventative measures against the identified risks are implemented
• Reports HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions
• Facilitates, assists and provides guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks
• Provides feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices within their own unit and across ABB
• Supports the HSE Manager in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the group level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required
• Assists the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities and requirements for role fulfillment, as per HSE regulations and group/business specific requirements
• Supports and drives change through the local implementation of group wide and business specific performance improvement programs and practices
• Supports and embeds an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization
• Ensures the appropriate HSE related equipment and tools are available and used effectively
• Contributes to and/or plans and executes HSE related projects
• Develops project objectives and reports the progress to management
• Implements ABB policies and standards in their assigned area
• Implements policies and standards and ensures their own area of responsibility is audited
• Drives and ensures compliance with group management systems
• Draws on workers expertise and insights to gain a deeper understanding of actual work processes, enabling continuous improvement of systems and controls
• Completes HSE action items in management of change procedures and oversees introduction of new equipment
• Other duties as assigned

• Associates Degree with 3 to 5 years of experience Or Bachelor's degree in related field
• Bachelor's degree in Health/Safety or Environment is preferred
• Hazwoper 40 hour preferred
• OHST, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), or CHST preferred
• Experience with Data Analytics, Report Compiling and Excel Data Management
• Prior experience supporting Health, Safety and Environment or working in an HSE role
