Behavior Technician
Duties:
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and modify treatment plans
- Implement behavior intervention strategies to address challenging behaviors
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Experience or knowledge in special education or working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation and assessment procedures
- Understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to autism and developmental disorders
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism and their families
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent data collection and documentation skills
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior intervention plans accurately
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with autism
