Corrections Therapist / Counselor (LCSW)
Now hiring for multiple locations throughout Southern California!
Pay:

$3,210.67 weekly
$1600 weekly per diem 32/hr 114.67/hour overtime
OT paid after 8 hours/day 40 hours/week
Weekly direct deposit
Benefits available; 401K, medical, dental, vision insurance
Travel stipend to and from assignment

Schedule Timeline:

40 hours/week
Monday-Friday
Now interviewing for May and June orientation dates
13-week direct contract with the opportunity to extend

Corrections Therapist / Counselor (LCSW) Job Details:

Provide a wide range of psychosocial assessments and preliminary diagnostic impression, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services to patients in a correctional facility as part of an established multidisciplinary treatment team and behavioral health program.
Collect supporting information about patients through interview, case history, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques.
Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists.
Provide crisis management counseling, and/or short term therapy to patients as appropriate.
Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs.
Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate intervention for each entity.
Consult with other behavioral health practitioners and related staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework.

Corrections Therapist / Counselor (LCSW) Requirements:

Unrestricted LCSW license in the state of CA
CPR / BLS Certification
Clean background check upon hire
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a mental health care setting.
Must have knowledge and experience in the treatment of mental health, substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, social work, individual and group behavior, and crisis de-escalation.
Must be able to manage and maintain physical and mental health when encountering stressful situations.
Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual/group counseling notes, and suicide watch notes.
Coordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients’ mental health care and release dates.
