Position Objective:

Monitor, adjust and troubleshoot the operations of the Rx tanks, RVF, product conveyors, Dryer, Transfer systems, bagger, palletizing operations, lime system and the movement of finished product to the Cal Pro warehouse.

Performance Standards

Operations

• Maintain and control operations of chemical reactions of Reaction tanks.
• Maintain and control operations of the Aero Glide Dryer in prescribed areas of operation.
• Clean and maintain product transfer conveyors in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Dense Phase transfer systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lime makeup system
• Maintain and operate bagging system in accordance with the established guidelines.
• Transport pallets of finished Cal-Pro product to the Cal-Pro warehouse.
• Maintain and operate VTSCADA and wow computer operations proficiently.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.

Quality Control

• Maintain records as required by QC department.
• Maintain production log.
• Maintain quality control standards.
• Maintain clean work area per sanitation standards.
• Assure that all finished product is properly labeled and is marked with an accurate and legible lot code.
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards.

Human Resources

• Comply with HR policies and procedures.
• Comply with relevant employee laws.

Safety

• Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures to perform work duties in a safe manner.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards in a timely manner.

Team Skills

• Engage in team meetings and other team processes (safety, food safety, environmental, CI, etc.) to improve team and site KPI skills.

A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• OSHA certified Forklift driver.

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, hear, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs or balance.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and occasionally high precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to certain allergens and the risk of electrical shock.
• The ability to perform in a noisy, humid, hot and high-volume machine production environment.

Other Factors

• Hours: Dayshift 6:00 am- 6:00 pm,
• Hours: Nightshift 6:00 pm- 6:00 am
• Schedule is work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days.
• Some overtime is required.
