Asset-gathering and client-servicing in the firm’s private-client business is handled by the firm’s approximately 225 Financial Advisors nationwide. The Investment Strategy Group serves three functions: 1) Overseeing the Bernstein investment platform, creating strategic allocation advice and managing ongoing and new manager due diligence, 2) Supporting our Financial Advisors client servicing and marketing endeavors with our largest and most important existing and prospective clients 3) Creating all investment-related private client-driven communication, including quarterly servicing materials, blogs, podcasts and webinars. AB’s Investment Strategy Group is seeking a Product Analyst who will work alongside the firm’s senior most investment professionals to produce high-quality communication materials own the content creation and maintenance for of for PWM specific fixed income the most important investment products and allocation advice in Private Wealth that is delivered for both internal and external audiences. This includes creating communications thought leadership in the form of quarterly for client quarterly servicing decks, Core Allocation Platform (“CAP”) presentations, and FA and Associate Training materials. The position will focus primarily on fixed income products and content, but it is a multi-asset role. The Product Analyst’s primary responsibilities will include: Partner with Investment Strategies team to create and maintain core fixed income product marketing and client servicing materials on a monthly or quarterly basis. Potential to incorporate equity and alternatives as well as core investment strategies over time. Partner with National Director, Investment Insights to craft the quarterly macro and markets update—our most widely used client document, focused on addressing key capital markets questions. Collaborate with internal departments including PWM Leadership, Legal, PC National Group, Marketing, Performance, Business Development, etc., on strategic initiatives supporting product launches and allocation changes. Update and maintain the latest fixed income product content on Bernstein’s internal materials directory, OfficeMobile and Product Central. Partner with internal marketing teams and offshore teams to ensure the timely updates of monthly fixed income tables and quarterly fixed income product factsheets, commentaries, and individual product decks. Partner with Senior Investment Strategists to provide fixed income portfolio performance, market research and data analytics utilizing Morningstar, Bloomberg, FactSet and AB’s proprietary performance tool - Global Analytics. Partner with Fixed Income Senior Portfolio Managers to update and produce strategy presentations and materials as needed. Partner with Senior Investment Strategists to proactively create & maintain new materials for allocation objectives, such as our advice for Endowment & Foundation clients and Purpose-Driven clients. Partner with Senior Investment Strategists to create & maintain new materials for any strategic allocation changes within CAP or tactical ideas including Core Strategies. Act as a key resource for fixed income CAP questions with advisors nationally and help support internal presentations. Act as a key resource for Investment Strategy Team in answering fixed income portfolio specific questions Monitor Investment Strategies Team Private Client Fixed Income inbox and respond accordingly Participate in Investment Strategy Group weekly team discussions and projects as interested, including manager selection, asset allocation, product launch and other investment-related projects This position will provide the opportunity for: Becoming a major contributor to a small senior team overseeing the investing platform and outcomes for the PWM business. Exposure to a diverse array of key PWM functions, including investment decision making and client-facing meetings. Exposure to senior client-facing investment professionals. Interaction with many business units including Product Development, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, and PC Advisors. Mentorship within the ISG team. Advancement to other more senior positions within Private Wealth and the firm. Job Qualifications An interest and understanding of capital markets, and specifically the fixed income markets, the asset management business, and the sales process Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work both independently as well as part of a team Strong writing and presentation skills Ability to translate product/investment/market information into clear and compelling communications Highly organized with attention to detail is exceptionally important Creativity and a marketing “sense” is a distinct plus Ability to thrive in a busy, deadline-driven work environment. Works well under pressure Ability to multi-task and meet multiple strict deadlines simultaneously Effective time management and data management skills Ability to collaborate well with other colleagues Candidate should have: 2 years’ experience working with private clients or investing product communications, business development or strategy Municipal bond experience a plus Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Global Analytics fluency Asset management experience New York City, New YorkLos Angeles, California
