What we are looking for?

We are seeking a certified medical assistant who is GREAT WITH COMPUTERS and can learn a new EMR software quickly. Assistance with nursing assessments, liaise with Physician’s Offices, check vitals, maintain electronic medical records, reporting and State compliance are some of the tasks. A lot of the work will involve entering data onto a computer. Candidate needs to be available Mon-Fri (ALL FIVE DAYS) from approx 9:30am to 1:30pm. A team player who takes initiative and is flexible.

Salary: $22,500 per year

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assistance with Nursing Assessments; Monitoring participant vitals; detect changes in symptoms, health, and/or pain. Enter data into computer.
• Assist in maintaining electronic medical records and reports. Client case management.
• Filling out medical and administrative paperwork, and filing them based on the needs of the medical day care.
• Communicate clearly and directly with participants and other medical professionals.
• Maintain up to date professional and technical knowledge.
• Assist in the monitoring of medication side effects and reactions, as well as perform relevant tests. Assist in tasks related to participant enrollments, Medicaid and government waiver approvals, client’s government and social benefits, compliance, insurance and billing, and interactions with government and private agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will possess

• Certified Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Experience working in a health care setting required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat (PDFs), Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Web-based applications.
