Aaron Sachs & Associates is Hiring a Paralegal Near Springfield, MO

Aaron Sachs and Associates is seeking a Paralegal to join our dynamic team.

We are willing to consider candidates with any of the following experience, paralegal, insurance, worker's compensation, medical claims, and social security experience. NO paralegal degree or certification is required. The ideal candidate would assist in the attorney's caseload for a high volume of cases.

  • Law office experience (Personal Injury), we are willing to consider candidates with other areas of law office paralegal experience.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency MS Office suite & Adobe
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Operating with the highest confidentiality
  • Assisting with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings.
  • Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents and responding to discovery requests
  • Researching case-related factual issues using in-house files and outside reference sources
  • Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings
  • Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
  • Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with state or federal courts
  • Perform administrative duties - calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, schedule depositions and manage logistics
  • Handle scheduling and deadlines with a high priority
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, medical records as directed by attorney
  • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
  • Prepare and send summonses and subpoenas
  • Correspond with counsel, courts, and clients
  • Coordinate appointments and logistics if necessary
  • Work closely with attorneys on case management
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Help with jury selection and witnesses preparation
  • Provide assistance with case settlements
