AALP, LLC is Hiring a Quality Assurance Technician Near Dublin, CA

Description

All American Label and Packaging is seeking a qualified individual to fill an open position for Quality Assurance.

Job Functions

  • Facilitate effective problem solving and root cause analysis to address issues with quality control
  • Validate any product defects as reported by external and internal customers and issue appropriate rework notices
  • Generate appropriate corrective and/or preventive action requests for non-confirming materials, equipment, procedures and products
  • Verify printed samples to approved proofs and perform signoffs for run approvals
  • Perform in-bound/out-bound shipments in adherence to food safety requirements
  • Assist with non-conforming material identification, tracking and returns
  • Perform identified in-process product quality testing to ensure product quality
  • Assist with identification and tracking of Chemicals (ink, varnishes, processing aides, etc.) in adherence to the Chemical Control program
  • Monitor production operations for compliance with specifications and promptly report defects
  • Validate specifications of materials supplied on production lines
  • Assist with creating and maintaining color standards for use in initial signoff and continuous production run
  • Validate calibration status, settings, and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain and assist with identification and maintenance of calibrated instruments
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of procedural materials to implement and improve work processes
  • Generate quality reports as needed by the Quality Manager, including trend analysis of the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and Cosmetic operator inspection efficiencies
  • Work with internal food/quality system and audit team to complete audit reports (e.g., process compliance audits, traceability audits, 5S audits, Food Safety, Facility Inspections)
  • Perform process capability analysis

Requirements

Desired Skills:

Mechanically inclined / trouble-shooting equipment

Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting

Committed to quality, safety and communication

Team-oriented and self-directed

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Working understanding of printing platforms and defects

Required Skills:

Ability to accurately read and understand orders and inventory

Able to lift 30-50 pounds and stand for up to a 10-hour work shift

Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, in English

Ability to use Microsoft Excel and WordPerfect

Basic Math, reading and writing skills.

Detail Oriented with visual acuity without color deficiencies

Competencies:

• Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information to identify and resolve production issues; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
