Overview:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing lead time.

Duties and Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Translates sales quotes/orders into work orders for production; works directly with sales and engineering to ensure customer expectations are met

• Places purchase orders for high value items such as pumps, coordinates closely with these vendors

• Create a final assembly rolling Master Production Plan that optimizes customer desired delivery dates, capacity, forecast, new business opportunities and available skill sets

• Ensure the Master Production Schedule is coordinated with and communicated to engineering, production supervisors, downstream schedulers, installers, support personnel and management

• Chairs the production meetings, acts as the primary voice of the customer to the organization to ensure that customer expectations are met. Identifies and actively communicates risks to schedule attainment

• Lead individual to make delivery commitments to sales for final assemblies by checking the availability of material and the capacity of both internal and external resources

• Review production and supply chain capacity versus demand regularly, communicate gaps during production meetings, offers solutions as appropriate

• Communicates lead times for all products to the organization, works actively with the materials and production teams to minimize them

• Work center scheduling via Wardnet

• Back up MDS at order processing

• Creates and reports on delivery performance metrics

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills required

• BA/BS degree preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted

• Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements

• Experience using MRP II based ERP systems

• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or agreement to pursue required

• Highly organized and self-motivated

• Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities

• Proficient in MS Office applications

Other Requirements:

• Regular attendance required. The employee is required to physically be at the WARDJet facility during scheduled working hours unless otherwise approved by supervisor

• A valid driver’s license

• Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

• Able to sit for long periods of time

• Able to use the computer for long periods of time

• Sufficient mobility to perform the job successfully

• Willingness to work over 40 hours as the role dictates
