Licensed Practical Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings in medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection
- Assist with discharge planning and coordination of follow-up care
- Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g., Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) to document patient information accurately
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in DME (Durable Medical Equipment), ophthalmology, or family planning
- Familiarity with health coaching principles and behavioral health interventions
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
