The Media Spokesperson is responsible for supporting media outreach efforts for the club, including content development, media monitoring and outreach. They represent AAA Northeast in media interactions, including pitches, interviews and press events, ensuring the brand maintains a positive public image and reputation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Serve as a spokesperson, conveying key messages and policy positions to the media and manage inquiries and prepare talking points for interactions

Create impactful content aligned with the club’s goals for various media channels. This will include, but not limited to crafting press releases, statements, and assisting with the creation of social media content

Participate in club sponsored community outreach efforts to build support for the organization’s objectives

Collaborate internally and externally on media technology and metrics. Assess the impact of media outreach and provide optimization recommendations

Develop and implement media strategies to maximize coverage. Engage with target media outlets, industry leaders, and community organizations

Become familiar with the objectives of assigned business line(s) to develop newsworthy content and pitch stories to media in support of business line goals

WHAT YOU NEED

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field

3 years of experience in media relations, public affairs, communications, or related roles

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Experience using media monitoring tools
