We are seeking a skilled API Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and implementing APIs using tools such as Azure API Management or MuleSoft. As an API Developer, you will be responsible for creating robust, scalable, and secure APIs to facilitate seamless integration between various systems and applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and product managers, to understand requirements and design efficient API solutions.
What you will do:
Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Azure API Management, MuleSoft, or similar tools. - Implement RESTful and SOAP APIs to enable communication between different systems and applications.
Ensure API security by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
Optimize API performance and scalability to handle high volumes of requests.
Collaborate with software engineers and architects to integrate APIs into existing systems and applications.
Conduct API testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues.
Document APIs, including specifications, usage guidelines, and best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in API development and integration.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an API Developer or similar role.
Proficiency in designing and developing APIs using tools like Azure API Management, MuleSoft, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP protocols.
Experience with API security standards such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure or AWS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Certification in Azure API Management or MuleSoft.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
