The Travel Professional is responsible for working with clients to maximize revenue and profitability by fostering client relationships and closing sales that generate repeat business. The Advisor must determine destination, modes of transportation, travel dates, costs, and sell AAA Preferred Supplier travel packages, tours and cruises to match the customer’s needs and preferences. Compensation includes base pay plus travel and membership commissions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interacts with members and non-members over the telephone and in person to assist with all travel related services.
• Promotes and sells airline tickets, tours, cruises, car and hotel reservations for domestic and international travel while adhering to company and industry policies and procedures.
• Uses knowledge of AAA products and services including preferred suppliers to promote the benefits to members and non-members.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of sales and marketing techniques to ensure individual and team sales goals are met.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Travel School and/or 1 year Travel Agency experience required
• Minimum of 6 months sales and/or customer service experience required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Proficient in the use of internet and web-based technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent active listening skills

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
