MDS Coordinator (RN) Job Description
The MDS Coordinator should be a Registered Nurse (RN). The MDS Coordinator will join the facility’s nursing leadership team and will be responsible to assess and monitor proper treatment for residents in nursing homes. The MDS Coordinator determines the health status, care plans, and procedures for intake of residents according to state and federal standards. to code experience.
MDS Coordinator (RN) Job Duties
- Proficiency in MDS 3.0.
- Thorough understanding of the MDS process and reimbursement system.
- Ability to work with the interdisciplinary team to assure MDS compliance, understanding and follow through.
- Accurate and timely completion of all Medicare/Medicaid MDS process in order to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided.
- Excellent assessment skills.
- Detail oriented with MDS completion.
