We are looking for professionals who can indentify, cut and install flat glass for residential and commercial jobs and deliver timely service, and effectively communicate with our customers. Compensation ranging from $17/hr and up for experienced technicians bonus eligibility.
The Flat Glass Technician / Glazier is key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation of residential and commercial flat glass and related glass products such as windows, storefronts, mirrors, display cases, shower doors, etc. You will assist in developing new customers by identifying opportunities to up-sell additional work. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. We call our Technicians, Glass-Specialists; because our work will stand above athers. Specific Responsibilities of a Glazier:
A glazier / skilled tradesperson who specializes in installing, repairing, and replacing glass windows, doors, and other glass products. The Glazier job involves working with different types of glass, such as tempered, laminated, and insulated glass, and requires expertise in cutting, shaping, and installing glass according to specific design and safety standards.
The job responsibilities of a glazier may include:
1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and other technical specifications to determine the dimensions and type of glass needed for a project.
2. Measuring and cutting glass to fit specific frames or spaces using hand tools, power tools, or computer-controlled machines.
3. Installing glass in frames or structures using a variety of techniques such as caulking, gluing, and welding.
4. Repairing or replacing broken or damaged glass in windows, doors, or other structures.
5. Working with clients to provide recommendations on the type and style of glass that would best meet their needs and preferences.
6. Ensuring that all glass installations meet safety standards and building codes.
7. Maintaining tools and equipment used in the glazing process, and keeping a clean and organized work area.
8. Collaborating with other construction professionals such as architects, builders, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specifications.
9. Maintaining accurate records of time and materials used on each project, and preparing estimates for clients.
