Our customer specializes in Tank Cleaning, Turn Around Services, Municipal Services, Professional Services and Emergency Response Services. 

The Driver is responsible for transporting different types of materials (Haz or Non-Haz) between customer locations or proper disposal facilities using a commercial truck and trailer. He/she is also required to perform inspections before and after a trip, and unload waste/ products from the trailer to the destination facilities. This driver also follows appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintains logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.

While it is a necessity for a Commercial Driver/Operator to have in his possession a valid commercial driver’s license, the scope of the position is approximately 25% driving and equipment 75% operation. Such operations will include equipment (vehicle) operation and handling materials / containers associated with non-hazardous and hazardous materials at Ancon customer sites.

Responsibilities:

• Transportation of Non-Hazardous and Hazardous materials
• Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers
• Assisting workers in loading and unloading trucks
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Adherence to all safety requirements and guidelines
• Driving and operating different types of trucks (120BBL Vac Trucks/trailers, 70BBL vacuum trucks, Rocket launchers, Combo Units, and tractors/trailers if possessing a Class A License)
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

 REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid Class A or Class B CDL License
• Tanker endorsements and hazmat required
• One year of driving experience with a Class A or Class B CDL license
• Driver-training and experience with how to inspect trucks for compliance with regulations of this industry and how to maneuver large vehicles in crowded streets and highways
• Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, etc.)
• Ability to travel when required (usually only in Arizona)
• Must pass the pre-employment screening required of this position (physical, background check and drug screening)
