Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 8 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience providing ship acquisition and/or fleet sustainment logistics support services to MSC, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, or maritime ship operating companies, to include, but be limited to: o Equipment provisioning and allowance modeling to support preventative (planned), corrective (unplanned), and alterative (e.g. TRANSALTs, MACHALTs, etc.) maintenance.
• Sourcing of material from commercial and federal sectors.
• Development and maintenance of ship configuration baselines and equipment/systems top-down breakdown/hierarchical relationships.
• Marine engineering system functionality, components, and associated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements to support planned/unplanned maintenance.
• Ship repair planning and specification development processes
• Marine engineering system preventative and corrective maintenance.

Duties (Representative)

• For new construction programs, provides a full range of services to support; (1) the documented accuracy of installed system/equipment configuration baselines, (2) the proper range/depth of material, equipage, and equipment is identified, procured, and fitted out to support MSC’s maintenance philosophy, operational requirements, and endurance levels, (3) the accuracy and completeness of technical documents/references, (4) the implementation and documentation of mandated programs, (5) the assessment logistics support risks and corresponding mitigation strategies, and, (6) improvements to processes, procedures, and/or ILS contractual requirements.

• For fleet sustainment (fleet, ship class, or individual ship level), provides a full range of services to support; (1) development, analysis, and management of system/equipment configuration baselines; (2) identification, development, and analysis of associated ILS documentation, (3) identification, development, and analysis of allowance documents and inventory levels/supply system posture to support planned/unplanned maintenance; (4) identification, analysis, and resolution of equipment/part supportability issues; (5) articulation of logistics contractual requirements and management/review of deliverables; (6) the assessment logistics support risks and corresponding mitigation strategies, (7) improvements to processes, procedures, and/or ILS contractual requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
