A2D Academy is a growing non-profit that teaches the love of arts and education in Edina, MN. We offer academic enrichment classes in a STEAM driven multi-age classroom after school, on non school days and over the summer. Students are introduced to a wide range of learning opportunities to help them grow and experience new things.

Our company is quickly growing and expanding and we are looking for a new lead Teacher to partner with us for the 2024-25 school year and beyond.

Our lead teachers play a vital role in our A2D Family. They are responsible for:

1. Curriculum Development while working closely with the director of education

2. Over seeing, mentoring and working closely with their assistant teachers

3. Parent communication through weekly newsletters, phone calls as necessary and term based exhibition nights.

4. Delivering hands on and engaging lessons in the STEAM field to a multi-age elementary classroom

5. Supporting student behavior and growth

6. Supporting the growth of A2D Academy

7. Overseeing pickup, drop off, snack and recess times

The hours are as follows with the opportunity to expand those hours with the growing programs in the near future;

Monday: 12:00pm-6:00pm (2 hours of curriculum development time included)

Tuesday: 2:00pm-6:00pm

Wednesday: 2:00pm-6:00pm

Thursday: 2:00pm- 6:00pm

Friday: 2:00pm-5:00pm

Requirements include being able to pass a background check and holding a valid teaching license with classroom experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
