We are seeking a training Facilitator with 3-5 years of experience to deliver on-site and virtual training for a Defense client in the northern Virginia area.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all aspects of on-site or virtual classroom for up to 60 participants per course.
Create a learning environment that encourages learner engagement.
Collaborate with Instructional Systems Designers, Training Specialist, and client to create high-quality training.
Ensure classroom activities conform to agency mission and program guidelines.
Employ approved instructional methods and materials.
Assist in setting up (and breaking down) classroom facilities and activities.
Conduct effective dry runs for on-site and virtual training sessions.
Coordinate with the Training Specialist, Lead ISD, and Program Analysts to create after action, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as other metrics to inform programmatic decisions and senior leadership.
Collect feedback from learners and provide feedback to ISDs.
Assist ISDs and Government project lead in identifying training gaps and agency needs.
Actively participate in quarterly planning with ISDs and the client.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or BS degree or instructor/facilitator certification from industry certification program
3-5 years of experience facilitating a training program with both on-site and virtual delivery
Ability to manage all aspects of instructor-led training, including classroom facilities, learner engagement, and technology
Extensive experience delivering training via MS Teams, Adobe Connect, or comparable platform
Ability to interface regularly with Government project lead and Government personnel in trainings
Ability to collaborate with peers, SMEs, and Government project lead
Knowledge of adult learning and classroom best practices (e.g., Knowles, Dialogic strategies, etc.)
Experience with 508 compliance
Effective oral and written communication skills, including good proof-reading skills
Experience managing training using Joint Knowledge Online
Experience with the Federal Government, particularly DoD or DHA, strongly preferred
