A&W Restaurants Inc. is looking to add a Field Trainer to our team!
This position reports to the Manager of Field Training.
Contributes to A&W® success by implementing company standards through coaching and training. The scope of work resides mainly in the field facilitating training for managers and team members of Franchise Partners.
Essential Functions

1. Executes a strategic plan focusing on operational excellence, consistent best production standards, and superior guest service.
2. Trains and develops franchisees and restaurant staff on operating procedures.
3. Enforces compliance to A&W Restaurant’s standards and specifications.
4. Ensures all governmental regulations are being observed.
5. Cultivates a positive and constructive business relationship with Franchise Partners and their teams.
6. Acts as a brand ambassador at all times.
7. Contributes to Restaurant Support Services team projects and initiatives
8. Manages existing training resources, and creates new material in digital and traditional formats.
9. Facilitates training content during A&W University for management training
10. Coordinates and facilitates training for managers and team members for new restaurant openings.
11. Provides operational support during new restaurant openings
12. Coordinates and facilitates on-site Brand Refreshers for existing restaurants.

Requirements
Supervisory Responsibility
The Field Trainer Position is in charge of training sessions during new manager training and new restaurant openings, and would have direct supervisory responsibility during these times.
Physical Demands
This position requires a large amount of travel by both vehicle and airplane. This role requires standing and exerting fast-paced mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position expected to report to our Lexington, KY headquarters. Days and hours of work are based on the opening of new restaurants, training of new restaurant managers and conducting scheduled training workshops and boot camps.
1. The nature of this position may require the Field Trainer to work up to 10 straight days and up to 12 hours per day, depending on the restaurant needs.
2. This position requires a flexible work schedule based on the training of new managers and the opening of new restaurants, where days and dates may change with little advance notice.
3. When in the office, schedules will fall between 7am and 7pm Monday-Friday, with some weekend and evening events required. Schedules are subject to supervisor and/or Company approval.
Travel
This position must be able to travel anywhere in the USA, up to 90% of their time.
Required Education and Experience
1. Minimum three years of experience training in individual, group, and classroom settings
2. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
3. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel on short notice
4. Proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, Manager development, and operational improvement
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in the restaurant industry
2. Minimum three years supervisory and/or training experience
