Your Role

As a member of Farrell Roofing’s estimating team, you are critical to the success of our branches and our company. Estimating staff ensure that our project bids are competitive and that our project prices leave us with profit margin. Estimators are critical to our company having a steady flow of work and to our company being profitable. Successful occupants of this role will detail oriented and will be reliable.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing material and labor cost estimates for commercial roofing projects.
• Attending pre-job conferences/pre-job walk throughs to review the contract.
• Having a complete understanding of the scope of work detailed in the project contract.
• Understanding the products and systems utilized on the project.
• Verifying architectural/CAD drawings for accuracy.

• Has excellent oral and written and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization
• Has the demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time

Desired Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED with 3-5 years of work experience in a construction related field.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and/or concrete variables
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, specification, and engineering documents.
• Experience with the Edge estimating software preferred.
