A to Z Care Adult Day Center is Hiring a Program Aide Near Philadelphia, PA

Job description

Adult Day Center in West Philadelphia seeks a dependable, self-motivated Program Aide with reliable transportation.

History - Who we are:

Since 2015, A to Z Care has been the leader of adult day care in West Philadelphia. Our adult day care center serves primarily seniors with health-related care needs where they meet new friends, engage in activities, participate in field trips, and receive quality nursing care.

Position Summary

The Program Aide will maintain the integrity of A of Z Care by promoting the mission and core values of the organization while performing job functions. They will abide by the organization’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality standards.

1. The Program assistant/aide shall be responsible for duties which include:

  • Compliance with PA Code Title 6. Chapter 11. Older Adult Daily Living Centers and appropriate accreditation standards.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care as needed (e.g. arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, therapies, rest room assistance, etc.).
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of creative and diverse therapeutic recreational programs and interact with clients.
  • Observe clients for change in condition or unusual occurrences. Escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Maintain program areas, supplies, and equipment ensuring all are clean, disinfected, stocked, replenished and in good working order.
  • Communicate in a positive, courteous and professional manner with clients and their families, co-workers, referral agencies, and the community at large.
  • Clean the center when not assisting clients: mop the floors, clean bathrooms, emptying trash cans and etc.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least one-year equivalent experience in a health care setting
  • Prior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred
  • Engaging interpersonal skills
  • Able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds; able to stand for an extended period while providing physical and personal care assistance to clients
  • Successful results of background check, and where applicable, additional state-specific regulatory requirements.

Work Location: One location

Job Type: Part-time (Monday through Friday 9am-2pm)

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 30 per week
