A & t Heath Care Inc is Hiring a Direct Support Professional Near Oakton, VA
This job is for a part time morning shift in Oakton, VA.
Monday - Friday 6am to 9am ; 15 hours per week ; $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience.
Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Promote independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor and document individual's progress, behaviors, and any changes in their condition
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community outings
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related field preferred
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and experience in providing personal care
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
