We are looking for a professional, polished Kitchen Manager. Agave & Rye is a high-energy, fun, and HIGH STANDARDS place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Kitchen Manager in training and coaching the culinary team at to assist in their professional development.
  • Ensure optimal guest satisfaction with food quality.
  • Work with culinary leadership team on sales plans, goals and implementation.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring a culinary team to support brand growth.
  • Support store leadership in goal setting, problem solving, and issuing praise for success.
  • Execute the highest health code and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and presentation standards.
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served within store.
  • Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
  • Attend all scheduled culinary leadership meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Make employment and termination decisions, evaluating and disciplining kitchen personnel as appropriate. 
  • Ensure kitchen is preparing all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all products are ordered through our vendors according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unit count/condition, checking that deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that restaurant policies for all culinary team members are followed and completed on a timely basis. 
  • Assist with scheduling labor, ensuring all culinary positions are staffed and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Post Daily Notes to assigned chat groups; constantly communicating.

Skills Required

  • 1 years kitchen leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of basic culinary tasks.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedule at the request of leadership.
  • Must have own vehicle of convenient access to public transportation.
