R.N. Job Description

Understand and follow the guidelines given in APWHC Policy and Procedure Manual and the Laboratory Policy and Procedure Manual.

Be able to work in all medical departments and be familiar with the performance of nursing duties in all areas of the clinic.

Perform and review monthly emergency Banyan Kit supply reviews.

Review the work assigned to the CNAs/CMAs/PCAs, including reviewing charts to ensure that all required and pertinent information has been obtained, lab results properly charted, and all consent forms are signed.

Able to work with the physician on duty and carry out orders as given.

Must be responsible for medications given to all patients, pre-or post-operatively per Doctor Protocol Manual according to the physician on duty and discussing any patient abnormal vital signs or medical conditions with the physician prior to medicating.

The office typically sees 40-50 patients per day, and applicants must be diligent in keeping records accurate. Registered Nurses will be assisted by Patient Care Assistants (PCAs).

SCHEDULE

Our office is open Monday through Saturday. Staff hours are typically from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. In addition to Sunday, you will be given one weekday off.
