R.N. Job Description

⃞ Must be available to perform state-mandated Women’s Right To Know Act and North Carolina Abortion counseling for patients in the clinic.

⃞ Understand and follow the guidelines given in APWHC Policy and Procedure Manual and the Laboratory Policy and Procedure Manual.

⃞ Be able to work in all medical departments and be familiar with the performance of nursing duties in all areas of the clinic.

⃞ Must be available to answer patient questions and return patient phone calls when appropriate.

⃞ Able to work with the physician on duty and carry out orders as given.

⃞ Must be responsible for medications given to all patients, pre-or post-operatively per Doctor Protocol Manual according to the physician on duty and discussing any patient abnormal vital signs or medical conditions with the physician prior to medicating.

⃞ Assist administration when necessary.

⃞ Report to the RN Supervisor with questions or issues.
