Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Daycare Assistant. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, supervising playtime, and ensuring the well-being of all children in our care.

Duties:

- Assist with daily activities such as mealtime, naptime, and playtime

- Supervise children to ensure their safety at all times

- Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities

- Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment

- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise

- Follow established procedures for handling emergencies or accidents

- Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere

- Data entry into CACFP Food Program and documenting daily attendance

Experience:

- Previous experience in a daycare or similar childcare setting is preferred

- Knowledge of clerical duties, such as record keeping and scheduling, is an asset

- Familiarity with dental office or medical receptionist duties is beneficial

- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in phone systems and computerized systems

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills
