Job Description:

MAIN FUNCTION: Processing agency data to ensure all documentation has been obtained to support claims. Ensuring timely signing of physician orders by efficiency processing and following up on the needed documentation. Providing support to clinical staff while ensuring accuracy of records. Schedule visits for clinical team and front office support.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Processes telephone orders to ensure timely signature by practitioners.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Payer guidelines for home health coverage and compliance.
  • Serve as a back-up for ordering of medical supplies if deemed necessary by the Clinical Care Manager.
  • Maintain log sheets recording daily work in progress.
  • Maintain log sheets tracking telephone orders and Face to Face document for billing purposes.
  • Attach or update the EMR with documents compiled by the clinical staff.
  • Verify completeness of data entered information in the patient’s record..
  • Prints and distributes the appropriate documents associated with a new patient certification and with subsequent recertification's.
  • Sets up new patient charts.
  • Compiles documents needed for the home chart creation and ensure access as needed.
  • Provides copies of documents for home chart distribution by the clinical staff.
  • Ensure adequate access to Agency documents at a parent/branch level.
  • Participates in agency meetings as directed by the Data supervisor, Clinical Care Manager or the Administrator.
  • Reports task completion to the Data supervisor, Clinical Care Manager daily.
  • Accurately file documentation, policies, or other agency documents in appropriate locations.
  • Effectively communicate with others the needs of the agency and implement resolve.
  • Travel to and effectively interact with physician staff to obtain signed orders timely.
  • Report to the Data supervisor if problems are discovered with the order delivery process.
  • Participates in meeting to resolve physician order issues and maintains accurate record keeping.
  • Participates in in-services and educational programs provided by the agency.
  • Participated in Emergency preparedness enactments when necessary.
  • Assist the Clinical Care Manager in infection control processes of the office.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary for the good of the agency as assigned by the Data Supervisor, Billing Supervisor, Clinical Care Manager, or Administrator.

MINIMUM TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Automobile with acceptable insurance and phone.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Graduate or equivalency.
  • Proficient in the use of computers for data entry and file maintenance.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Payer guidelines for home health coverage and compliance.
  • Medical Terminology knowledge a plus but not required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to work as scheduled and report to work on time.
  • Is able to sit for long periods of time, which may be up to 6-8 hours per day.
  • Is able to retrieve and/or file a folder in the filing cabinet.
  • Is able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Is able to type or write up to 8 hours per day.
  • Is able to enter, access, retrieve data, and compile reports as needed.
  • Able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Is able to travel to other local branch offices.
  • Possesses excellent guest relation skills.
  • Is able to handle multi-tasks and meet multi-deadlines.
  • Is able to listen and follow instructions well.
  • Possesses good organization and time management skills.
  • Has access to personal transportation.
  • Is able to retrieve and/or file a folder in the filing cabinet.
  • Is able to access and use the following technology: computer, printer, fax machine, copier, and phone system.
  • Able to navigate the internet.
  • Has knowledge of the following electronic document systems:
  • Google systems
  • Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Able to learn and navigate the agency EMR.
  • Able to read and comprehend regulation dictated by the State, Federal or CHAP agencies.
  • Has an excellent communication skill, both verbal and written.
  • Has an excellent supervisory skill.
  • Can manage time well.
  • Can analyze and evaluate data and situations.
  • Has good planning and organizational skills.
  • Has a creative decision-making skill.
  • Able to receive information/direction from the Administrator and relay to the clinical staff in a positive manner.
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Able to read, comprehend and comply with instructions from company manuals.
  • Able to comply with agency and CDC infection control protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.44 per hour
