A Perfect Fit Nanny Agency is Hiring a Full-Time Nanny Near Northlake, TX

Job #31675: Flexible & Experienced Nanny Needed in Northlake: (Faught Rd. & FM 407)

Message from Family: Mom is a trauma surgeon and Dad is a military pilot. Our schedules are a bit unconventional. Mom works 24-hour shifts (8 am to 8 am) about 5-7 days a month, and Dad is away from home for 2-3 days, roughly 4 times a month. It changes every month, but we'll always give you the schedule a month in advance.
We're looking for someone reliable who can stay with the kids when Mom's on call and Dad's away, which includes caring for our newborn and picking up our older son from school. Sometimes Mom works night shifts, so we'll need someone during the day while she catches up on sleep. Dad will be home overnight sometimes, and on Mom's days off, you'll be in charge of keeping the kids entertained. There might be weekends and extra hours involved, but we'll try to keep it to a minimum. No pets in the house!

About the Children: Our oldest is a 5 year old boy who just started kindergarten this year. He is high energy and loves to play outside. He loves swimming and building legos. He will chat with anyone who will listen and enjoys making new friends.

Our youngest is a sweet newborn baby. He is exclusively breastfed (breastmilk in a bottle).

Their Ideal Nanny: We're seeking a nanny with experience caring for multiple children simultaneously, including newborns and infants. The ideal candidate should be highly flexible, compassionate, and responsible. Proximity is crucial as the nanny needs to be within close distance for prompt response; the mom must reach the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a call during her on-call shifts. Comfort with swimming and an active lifestyle is necessary, although swimming should only occur with a parent present. The nanny should feel very comfortable looking after an infant and a 5-almost-6-year-old at the same time. Familiarity with defrosting milk, preparing and washing bottles is essential. Overall, we're looking for a highly experienced nanny, particularly with expertise in caring for multiple children simultaneously and infants.

Additional Job Details: We need someone available to care for the kids for 24 hours when the mom is on call and the dad is away, which includes looking after the baby and picking up our older son from school. Mom has shared custody with the older son. Custody arrangements are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Exchanges occur at 6 pm, with custody from Monday 6 pm to Wednesday 6 pm, and every other Friday 6 pm to Monday 6 pm. The older sons father will pick up from our home, but occasionally the older son will need to be picked up from his dads home, which is about a 35-minute drive away. During the school year, exchanges happen at school. We will need help with transportation to and from school, which is within walking distance of the family home. The ideal candidate should be able to take our older son to karate/sports when necessary. During the summer, there will be two older children in the home (15 years old and 13 years old), but they won't require direct care, and we're comfortable with them being home alone. Both parents frequently work holidays, so the nanny will be expected to work some holidays.

Start Date: May 17th, 2024

Expected Job Duration: Longterm

Duties: Cooking for children and light housekeeping.

Schedule: Due to our fluctuating work commitments, days and times will vary monthly. We need someone with open and flexible availablity. The nanny's schedule will be diverse, including weekends and overnights. We require someone who can provide 24-hour care for the children 1-3 times per month.
