Williamsville Suburban, a skilled nursing facility located in Erie County, New York has immediate openings for enthusiastic and energetic Transportation CNA’s to become part of our dedicated and professional staff. We are looking for individuals who desire a worthwhile career that has purpose and makes a meaningful difference in someone’s life.Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our CNAs give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comforts needs. Job Responsibilities / Duties:

• Maintain a log and daily schedule of all transports that is always current and accessible to anyone in the facility.
• Verify transports (appt. times, locations, etc.) at least 1 hour prior and document such verification.
• Pick up new patients as directed.
• Transport transferring patients as directed.
• Ensure resident safety and provides whatever assistance is required for boarding of the patient and any caregiver; ensures wheelchair and passenger are properly secured before starting the van.
• Upon arrival at the medical facility, assists patients in leaving the van and reaching proper offices or treatment areas; inspects van to ensure that no personal items have been left behind.
• Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport; immediately notifies emergency personnel and supervisor if skilled assistance is required; completes report at end of day's run;
• Reports traffic accidents immediately to a supervisor, requesting police or ambulance service as needed; assists injured persons from the first-aid kit until these services arrive; completes company accident report.
• When not transporting residents, the CN A will report to the supervisor for assignments.
• Assist the therapist by performing routine office work such as answering phone calls, taking messages and filing paper work to the appropriate floor and therapist.
• Cleaning and wiping down the physical area of the clinic and all equipment used to transport patients.
• Promotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests.
• Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
• Use appropriate work place behavior and adhere to dress code at all times.
• The ability to push up to 450 pounds at a time.

Skill / Experience Requirements.

·NYS CNA Certification preferred but not required.

·Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.
