A-OX Welding Supply has a current opening for a Store Supervisor to join the team. We are looking for someone who can work independently in a fast paced enviroment with a team of drivers and salesman at our Yankton location. The right candidate will oversee and direct the daily activities, schedules , and assignments of employees in storage and inventory, and distribution of gases and hardgoods. This position will require a Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement as a back up driver for our two routes at this location.

Supervisory responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow of the store.
• Assist in calling customers daily for next day deliveries.
• Shipping and receiving is done daily and checked for correct items and entered in the system.
• Ensure the daily organizing of gas cylinders to the proper pallets and verify the counts are correct.
• Conduct regular inventory checks throughout the week.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required skills / Abilities.

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Proficient Microsoft office and with related software used daily to maintain accurate records.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 LBS at a time.
• Must be able to traverse the warehouse and observe physical inventory.
