A property management company with over 40 years successfully managing affordable units throughout NYC, seeking an experienced Tenant Coordinator/Compliance Specialist.
Responsibilities
· Assist Property Management with the day to day operations and tenant relations
· Process initial, annual and interim recertifications,
· Letters to tenants requesting documentation
· Prepare lease packages and supplemental documents for new move-ins
· Schedule building maintenance and apartment repairs with tenants and building staff
· Assist with coordination of various vendors performing Apt. rehab.
· Assist with the coordination of rent/lease collections
· Assist with the scheduling of contractor work and coordinate with tenants
· Maintain and update as necessary all tenant contact information
· Liaison between tenant, Property Manager, and main office
· Handle miscellaneous assignments as requested by management
Job Requirements:
· 5 years’ experience in Affordable Housing
· Bilingual English/Spanish
· Computer skills (Windows, office, excel). One site/Real Page a plus.
· Experience with housing authority and Maximo a plus
· Knowledge of city, state and federal programs and regulations.
· Experience work with affordable housing and housing authority
· Experience with monitoring repairs and maintenance work
· Must have excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and follow through
· Strong Verbal and Communication skills
· Emphasis on leadership
· Strong Interpersonal skills
Education:
· High school/GED required
· College preferred
