**Job Description:**

**Position Overview:**

A New Hope Psychiatric Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team as an independent contractor. The PMHNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients via telehealth platforms, with options for in-person appointments as needed. This role offers the potential to transition to part-time or full-time employment based on caseload. Ideal candidates are compassionate, self-motivated professionals committed to improving mental health outcomes through innovative and holistic care delivery.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments via telehealth platforms, with the option for in-person visits.

- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

- Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring patient understanding and compliance.

- Provide ongoing patient education and support, addressing any concerns or questions.

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

- Encouraged to collaborate with the patient’s multidisciplinary team, including but not limited to social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, family members, and your own collaborating provider (if applicable).

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations.

- Participate in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and telehealth technologies.

- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and protocols, promoting a culture of safety and respect.

**Qualifications:**

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health.

- Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of Oregon, Florida, or Maryland.

- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

- Minimum of 5 years of medical experience in a hospital setting as an RN (ICU, ER, PCU, Rapid Response, etc).

-Minimum of 1 year experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient setting

- Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR).

- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to high-quality, holistic care.

- Reliable internet connection and a private, secure workspace.

- Must have their own collaborating provider.

- Must have their own electronic devices such as a computer, cellphone, microphone, webcam, etc.

- Experience with pediatric populations is a benefit but not required.

- Speaking languages other than English is a benefit but not required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience in telehealth psychiatry.

- Bilingual or multilingual skills.

- Experience with diverse populations and a variety of age groups.

- Current credentialing with insurance providers utilized by A New Hope Psychiatric Services.

**Additional Information:**

- The time required to become fully credentialed and start seeing patients depends on whether the provider is already credentialed with some of our insurances.

- **Florida:** United Health Care/Optum, Aetna, Cigna, Magellan; working on Florida Blue and Tricare.

- **Maryland:** United Health Care, Aetna, Cigna, CareFirst; working on Tricare.

- **Oregon:** United Health Care, Cigna; working on Aetna, BCBS, and Tricare.
