Job Summary
A Mother's Wish Child Care Center is currently hiring for two (2) positions of a Center Infant & Toddler Teacher
Responsibilities and Duties
Lead Teacher Daily Responsibilities:
Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom Conduct group lessons and circle time
Talk, sing, read, and use baby sign language with infants frequently
Conduct monthly milestone goals and maintain a portfolio for each child
Perform child observations and document in their portfolios
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children, parents and co-workers
Prepare daily progress reports for parents
Participate in all school programs
Assist at lunch while helping children to learn how to help themselves
Keep the classroom clean and inviting by properly sanitizing and disinfecting all areas and utensils used in the infant/toddler room.
Maintain Professional Commitment:
Complete and submit all records as required, including time sheets, attendance sheets, incident reports and any other required materials
Support a code of ethical conduct both in class and outside of the learning environment
Good role model including attendance, dress code, attitude
Open to change - Flexible and able to adapt
Participates in extra-curricular activities of center
Consistently attends teacher training hours as required by the State of TN
Show interest in self-development and professional growth
Show evidence of emotional maturity and stability
Pursue professional development/continuing education
Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences and professional growth opportunities
Adhere to the safety policies and procedures of A Mother's Wish.
Become knowledgeable with Montessori terminology and methods
Teacher Assistant Daily Responsibilities
Candidates must be CPR and First Aid Certified or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within 60 days of hire.
All candidates will have a background check.
Complete a Tuberculosis test and an employment physical (must provide a physician's documentation of both)
Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences
Be aware of the unique needs of each child
Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift and carry children on a daily basis
Have dependable transportation
Flexible schedule
Compensation is based upon experience. ***All interested candidates must send a resume and a copy of their official high school diploma/college transcripts or diploma.
