Commercial Roofing Foreman

The majority of the work is local, but travel is required for specific projects.

Responsibilities of this role include but not limited to :

• Examine and inspect work progress daily, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
• Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
• Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
• Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
• Coordinate with Commercial Division Manager and or inside support (Job Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
• Order or requisition materials, tools, or supplies.
• Provides weekly progress reports to project supervisor for billing and schedule purposes.
• Assists with site changes and facilitates change orders prior to work being performed.
• Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.

Requirements / Qualifications :

• May require working in all-weather elements (heat, cold, rain, snow) depending on job location and / or time of year.
• Two years of installation experience.
• Experience in Commercial Roofing Installation, and basic general construction knowledge.
• An outgoing, friendly personality.
• Is reliable, self-sufficient, and motivated.
• An ability to multi-task.
• Is neat, organized, and detailed oriented.
• An ability to provide and take clear instruction and guidance.
• Is a positive role model, and an ambassador to the community on behalf of our company.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required with little or on short notice.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
• Ability to independently lift work loads of 50lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders of all types.
• Possess good vision / hearing (normal or corrected).
• Ability to work while constantly moving on one's feet.
• Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
• Ability to use both hands simultaneously for tying knots and for proper use of power equipment.
