Workday Test Manager

Work Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 1 year with potential extensions

Pay Rate: $50-55/hr W2

Key Responsibilities

• for the entire test cycle, which will involve multiple phases, including Smoke, Unit, End-to-End, Regression, Integrations, Parallel, Data Conversion, and UAT, until the Sign-off of each phase.
• with the systems implementation partner, to manage and report the status of overall program execution and facilitate the execution of the test strategy and end-to-end test management.
• and coordinate to ensure all testing activities are executed within the integrated project plan timeline.
• closely with workstream leads, planning the test phases execution, scope, effort estimation, and risk management.
• to onboard Workday FIN to the Kainos test automation suite (SmartTest, SmartShield, SmartAudit). Includes coordinating with the Workday HCM Automation Testing Lead to integrate HCM and FIN on a shared automated testing.
• for establishing processew for FIN regression testing within the Kainos SmartTest for the ERP Transformation program and on-going governance between FIN and HCM post-program deployment.
• and ensure testing resources are aligned on scope, timing, and procedural expectations for every test cycle, including those needed to prepare and accomplish testing.
• agreement from and coordinate with the program team on test environments, expectations and resources.
• each test phase\'s entry and exit criteria, including formal approval from all relevant stakeholders, reporting and signoffs.
• the defect management process, including strategy, triage, reporting, and resolution.
• regression testing of impacted systems.

Mandatory Skills:

• degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5 years of experience with Workday HCM and/or FIN required
• in a at least 1 full cycle Workday HCM and / or FIN implementation
• understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
• on experience in Agile methodology
• experience with Workday test process for integrations testing, functional testing, system integration testing, and regression Testing
• with Kainos automation software
• project management skills including experience with project management tools (i.e. Jira, qTest, PowerBI, Excel).
• problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills
• creative solutions and strong problem-solving skills with agility
• test management from a customer side or projects managed by a Systems Integrator
• risk awareness skills and management of risk. Forecasts the risk, evaluates the severity and makes efforts to mitigate without impacting the overall testing timelines.
