TFC Canopy, a division of Centurion Industries, Inc., specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of aluminum composite panels. We use these panels to develop free-standing canopies, wall systems, fascias, and walkway covers for a wide variety of applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To produce accurate and timely drawings, details and material list per customer and TFC specifications
• Develop new details required for special applications
• Read and interpret quotes and customer supplied drawings to produce required drawings
• Occasionally travel to job sites for field measuring, site surveys and erection
• Correctly program for the fabrication of ACM panels using nesting program
• Maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and clients

Knowledge / Abilities / Skills

In addition to being able to perform the duties outlined above, canopy detailer should possess the following:

• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience in detailing structural connections
• Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Visualization – the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged
• Inductive Reasoning – the ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
• Ability to double check drawings, programs, material list for accuracy and omissions
• Be familiar with shop fabrication processes and procedures
• Ability to detail all types of canopies
• Review information in job files to determine if all required information is available to correctly do drawings and/or material list
• Knowledgeable and proficient in Mastercam programming
