CONDUCTING VIRTUAL INTERVIEWS

Weekly Pay Sign on Bonus Paid Training Time and a half on holidays

WE ARE HIRING FOR HANOVER AND SURROUNDING AREAS (HANOVER, NEW OXFORD, LITTLESTOWN, GETTYSBURG, MCSHERRYSTOWN, THOMASVILLE, ABBOTTSTOWN, EAST BERLIN)

Responsibilities

  • Part Time to Full Time hours
  • Provide personal assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication, assist clients with ambulation, and help with physical therapy exercises
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
  • Assist with planning and preparing meals
  • Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Provide local transportation to appointments / errands
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Report any changes in client's condition / behavior and report and incidents / injuries

Qualifications

  • Every other weekend is required to work
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass Pennsylvania background check and FBI background check, if needed
  • Ability to pass online competency exam or provide current CNA certification
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and / or weekends
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred but not required, 1 year of experience)
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent / Experience as a Caregiver
  • Take pride in providing high quality care

Gloves and masks can be provided upon request.

Caregivers are required to assess themselves and their consumers every day.

A Helping Hand Home Care Services strives to ensure all of our caregivers remain safe and healthy as they care for our consumers.

All caregivers are required to respond to questions regarding symptoms / exposure prior to each shift, take their own temperature, practice good hand washing, and utilize PPE such as masks and gloves.
