Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate repair estimates to customers. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our body shop. Duties: - Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles and accurately assess the extent of repairs needed - Prepare detailed repair estimates, including labor, parts, and materials costs - Communicate with customers to explain the repair process and provide cost breakdowns - Collaborate with insurance companies to negotiate repair costs and ensure timely payment - Coordinate with technicians and other staff members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs - Maintain accurate records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the repair process Requirements: - Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or similar role in an automotive dealership or body shop setting - Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including mechanical knowledge of engines, shocks, struts, tire service, oil changes, and diesel engine repair - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively explain technical information to customers - Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships - Proficient in using computer software for estimating repairs and managing customer information - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy - Cash handling experience is preferred but not required We offer competitive pay based on experience and skills.
