We are seeking outstanding candidates to join A Few Cool Hardware Stores, a cooperative of 13 Ace Hardware stores in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We are locally owned, community focused, and we value each and every one our team mates.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct staff and adhere to company policies as they relate to the store operations, such as: receiving merchandise, managing cash register transactions and daily cash reconciliation, keeping track of inventory, etc.
• Correctly opening and/or closing the store as dictated by the schedule
• Report to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager for any possible issues during the shift they work. Issues such as: employee, customer, product issues, etc.
• Interact with staff at all levels of the organization
• Serve as a role model for safety and enforce safety policies and procedures
*This is a supervisory role - previous experience is necessary*
• Ability to gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records
• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software
• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred
• Work extended periods standing, lift large items, available weekends and holidays
