We are an Adult Day Training facility serving the developmentally and intellectually delayed community by providing a safe and fun environment where they may attend. An instructor position at our facility focuses on teaching, enhancing, and reinforcing daily life, social, and safety skills. The expectations of an instructor are to follow the outlined guides to assist each individual student in meeting their goals to the best of their ability while keeping daily progress notes. This position also requires assisting students with physical needs, such as toileting and feeding as needed. The purpose of these goals and skills are to help them function more independently in their day-to-day life both at home and in the community.
Attendance is incredibly important in this position as we do not have “PRN” staff to assist with frequent call outs. Our hours of operations are 8:30 am-2:30pm. There is a possibility of more hours with the availability to drive a 12-15 passenger van.
Qualifications are as follows,
High School diploma or GED, ability to pass a level II background, ability to pass a local law background, clean driving record, must complete specific trainings (provided to you) before starting.
