Position Summary:

The Environmental Sustainability Program Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive environmental sustainability strategy that aligns with Pyle’s Market Position and contributes to Pyle’s value proposition in the marketplace. The Environmental Sustainability Program Manager will evaluate the impact of Pyle’s operations on the environment, looking for ways to cut costs and reduce waste, ensuring that Pyle is complying with rules and regulations and coming up with innovative ideas to promote sustainability.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting research to identify and understand environmental sustainability concerns, interests, and issues relevant in Pyle’s industry, and specific to our customers and prospective customers
• Staying current on environmental legislation in the United States and in Western Europe to understand the framework and likely trajectory of our customer’s requirements
• Conducting a comprehensive, ongoing assessment of aspects and impacts of our environmental footprint
• Itemizing proactive steps taken to improve our environmental sustainability
• Implementing strategies to reduce Pyle’s environmental footprint with full consideration given to factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs (scope is inclusive of energy use, conservation, reductions of pollution, recycling, waste reduction, and employee education on sustainability)
• Partnering with cross-functional Department Heads to integrate sustainable practices across the enterprise, from sourcing and procurement to logistics and distribution, to facility design and construction
• Collaborating with suppliers and partners to promote sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental standards and certifications
• Establishing metrics and Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives
• Partnering with Pyle’s Marketing team to develop customer specific and general public facing sustainability reports
• Assisting the Marketing Department in producing brochures or online media, to promote environmental sustainability practices, procedures, and objective
• Providing instruction, analyses, and ideas for the improvement of operations within the shift, department, and facility

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

• Minimum three (3) years of corporate, business and management experience; Bachelor’s degree in related field and or Master’s degree preferred
• Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to adapt priorities that are under constant change
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills - capable of engaging with variety of stakeholders including suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Ability to identify and implement sustainable solutions that contribute to business growth and environmental stewardship
• Willingness to travel to various locations and facilities
• Ability to work extended hours, including but not limited to, working various shifts and days, as well as weekends and holidays if necessary
• Proficient with MS Office applications, strong computer literacy skills
