A Crate Escape is Hiring a Kennel Manager Near Round Rock, TX

A Crate Escape is a luxury cat and dog boarding provider in Round Rock, TX, we have on-site staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to care for our four-legged guests! Our Pet Care Coordinators and Kennel Technicians are dog and cat people dedicated to ensuring our guests are happy and safe while they stay with us. Above all, we want to provide a true home away from home for our beloved furry friends while giving their humans the peace of mind they are well-cared for.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kennel Manager to join our team. As a Kennel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kennel facility and ensuring the well-being and care of all animals in our care. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the kennel facility

- Supervise and train kennel staff members

- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kennel areas

- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

- Provide basic animal care, including feeding, exercise, and administering medications

- Monitor the health and behavior of animals under your care

- Maintain accurate records of animal intake, discharge, and medical treatments

- Assist with animal handling and restraint as needed

- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a kennel or veterinary setting is required

- Strong knowledge of animal care and handling techniques

- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required

Preferred Skills:

- Certification as a Veterinary Assistant or similar qualification is a plus but not necessary

- Experience with pet sitting or dog handling is highly desirable
