Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

A Child's World Developmental Center - Langhorne is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachersto support our Toddlers. 

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we REQUIRE each candidate have be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma and have the ability to pass all background checks

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, full time hours

Compensation:$12-$13 per hour,  based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process: 

  1. Resume screen
  2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
  3. On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes)
    1. Q&A 
    2. Classroom observation

Main Job Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the supervision of school age children and meeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care.

  • Responsible for driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips.
  • Arrange Lesson Plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales). 
  • Responsible for establishing a professional level of communication with each family member to provide quality care for each child. On-going communication in all aspects relating to the children in their room with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care.
  • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
  • Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
