Job Title: Financial Paraplanner

Reports To: Director of Operations

Job Summary

A Better Way Financial is seeking a highly motivated individual for a fast paced, service-oriented financial planning firm. You will work directly with and support the financial planners in servicing prospects and clients in meeting preparation, creating financial plans and analysis, as well as supporting documentation for the client, prospects and members of our client service team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Calculate portfolio returns for all existing clients.
• Create risk and return analysis and investment policy statements for clients and prospects on our risk management platform.
• Review all current investment strategies for all clients to determine recommended strategies.
• Create customized financial plans and plan summaries for clients and prospects.
• Prepare new financial documents and onboard them into money management software.
• Create detailed underwriting instructions for our client services specialists.
• Calculate and create annuity replacement documentation for all existing clients as needed.
• Gather information regarding documents for a client’s or prospect's financial plan.
• Perform Roth conversion analysis, create tax plan summaries, and calculate optimal tax bracket for Roth Conversions.
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM and client website.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field: Finance, Economics, or Business Management.
• 5 years of experience in creating financial plans is strongly desired.
• Series 65 and PA Life and Health Insurance Licenses a plus, or willing to purse getting these licenses quickly upon hire.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Keen attention to detail and processes in place to minimize and work through mistakes.
• Well-organized, warm, and personable.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal team and clients.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Able to work well both as a member of the team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in using a client relationship management system (CRM), such as Salesforce.
• Knowledge of working with risk management software (Stratifi), financial planning software (E-money), client portal (Atlas/Bridge), and Charles Schwab is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Onsite position
• Attend occasional evening client events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
