A-1 United Heating, Air & Electrical is Hiring a Billing Clerk Near Omaha, NE

A-1 United Heating, Air & Electrical is a full-service HVAC and refrigeration company serving the Omaha Metro Area. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of invoices for proper processing, inventory tracking, collections, and customer service. This role will also involve working cooperatively with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and invoice accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete invoice life cycle
  • Create and submit invoices for equipment sales and full service/preventative maintenance accounts
  • Perform regular audits of invoices
  • Convert technician work orders and work notes into accurate invoices
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any account issues
  • Act as the customer point of contact for quotes, invoice issues or disputes, ensuring resolution and/or invoice resubmission
  • Establish new customer accounts, review contract compliance, confirm all required documentation, and ensure customer-specific rules/processes/requirements are followed for invoicing
  • Manage customer account’s invoices to ensure timely payment
  • Research call history to avoid duplicate invoicing
  • Manage other projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced math aptitude
  • Detailed and accurate data entry skills
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Computer knowledge must include: MS Office- Word, Excel and Outlook
