Title: Assistant General Manager
FSLA: Exempt

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Assistant General Manager, who shares our creative passion
for food & hospitality, to join the Funke team.

As AGM, you will be responsible for assisting the business daily operations, while working closely with the
General Manager to strategize and implement long-term plans to achieve new levels of productivity and success.

Among other things, the AGM will ensure:

• Operations are in accordance with company policies, programs, and procedures and that the restaurant is set up for success everyday.
• Safeguard our guests experience and overall satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the General Manager in executing comprehensive service goals and development of people
• Train service staff to have extensive knowledge of the menu, wine list and service standards
• Observe the flow of service and provide floor support accordingly
• Uphold policies that promote company culture and vision
• Ensure effective hiring, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and staff retention
• Balance day-to-day operational and administrative responsibilities
• Keeping track of employees hours & recording payroll data
• Ensuring all end of day reporting & cash outs are correctly completed
• Inventory and ordering of supplies

Qualifications

Skills & Attributes:

• 3 years of management experience in upscale high volume restaurant or hotel
• Manager ServSafe certified
• Thorough understanding of business functions including HR, finance, operations, & sales
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Hands-on approach in leadership & customer service
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Ability to work under pressure

Hours & Working Conditions:

• Must have open availability- Able to work late nights, holidays, weekends, and long days as necessary
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, lifting products & supplies weighing more than 50 pounds and repetitive hand/wrist motion
