Description:

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The Production Supervisor will be working with the Production department to ensure that the highest safety, quality, and productivity standards are achieved. Emphasis will be on quality, and the ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, have attention to detail, and be diligent to maintain compliance with procedures.

The Production Supervisor will lead by example and directly supervise all tasks on the production floor. They will be responsible for directing the Production Team and for assigning them work at the different stations in accordance with the production objectives. The Production Supervisor will keep the Production Manager informed of any efficiency, productivity, safety or quality challenges on the production floor, and will participate in discussions to identify and implement improvements and solutions. They will also work closely with the other Supervisors and assist the Production Manager in ensuring adherence to 88 Acres' established protocols and policies. Work hours: 2pm-10pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS

  • Supervise all activities on the production floor; Monitor and ensure adherence to protocols and regulations
  • Organize tasks for the day to optimize capacity and efficiency in coordination with the other Supervisors and Managers
  • Assign tasks to individual Team Members to appropriately staff each station; Coordinate with the other Supervisors to shift resources as needed across all stations
  • Provide feedback on team performance to the Production Manager, including needs for additional training, failure to follow directions, outstanding performance, etc.
  • Ensure completion of all tasks prior to the Team leaving at the end of their shifts
  • Participate in the training of Team Members
  • Verify that the production team has the resources necessary for production (i.e. tools, training, staff, equipment, supplies, etc.) and communicate any lack of resources to management
  • Communicate daily with the Supervisors and Managers to facilitate coordination and cooperation across all departments (i.e. Sanitation, Production, Quality and Maintenance).
  • Propose solutions to drive efficiency while respecting quality and safety standards
  • Actively participate and engage in trainings and coaching sessions intended to help develop your skills as a Supervisor
  • Contributes to weekly meetings (team meetings and one-on-one check ins) to provide and receive feedback
  • Other duties as assigned depending on the Company and Team's needs

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work hours: 2pm-10pm
  • Prolonged standing for extended periods
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 60 pounds
  • Squatting and bending repeatedly
  • Working with one or both hands extended overhead

Reports To: Production Manager

FLSA: Non Exempt

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of food production experience preferred, or relevant industry
  • 1 year of progressively increasing responsibility
  • Experience operating food production equipment and ability to troubleshoot
  • Proven success in a high SKU production environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, lean thinking skills
  • Understanding of food safety risks, including allergen safety, CCPs, cleaning procedures, etc.
  • Attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Google Suite (Google Doc, Sheet, Gmail, etc.) or willingness to learn
  • Strong and effective communication skills – written & oral
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

Compensation details: 23.5-23.5 Hourly Wage
